FunctionFox Systems Inc, a company that provides specialized time tracking and billing services for small businesses in the creative industry, just released a new survey on the outlook of small companies in 2012.
This is positive news for the the large portion of the creative industry that is made of of smaller sized companies, both in large cities Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) and smaller urban centres such as Kelowna, Fredericton, and Halifax.
Highlights from the survey include:
- 62% of firms expect revenue growth in 2012 – up slightly from 2011′s 60%
- 95% expect to maintain current staffing levels or increase their staff in 2012
- Across the continent, small creative companies are expecting a better year in 2012, with every region of the US and Canada expecting to maintain or increase staffing.
