The HyperSync™ feature allows photographers to use a faster shutter speed (even when using a studio light like an Alien Bee), while still using a wide aperture to capture a narrow depth of field (think sharp on the subject, dreamy blurred background) in studio portraiture.
Kevin also discusses the pros and cons of the PocketWizard vs the Cyber Commander™, and both triggers having benefits to studio lighting, depending on what you’re looking for. For instance, the PocketWizard allows for a higher speed sync (hypersync), while the Cyber Commander™ offers you the flexibility of independent control and a 9 stop power range.
