This week’s Music at Lunch was a true display or raw student talent as Kelowna’s own, SlenderCase, rocked the stage during Thursday’s lunch hour.
Audio Engineering students Paul Minor (Drums/Percussion), Jason Koster (Guitar/Vocals), Quinn Hawse (Guitar/Vocals) and Brett Nimmo (Bass/Vocals) got the crowd going with their uplifting and catchy beats. “I’m just a plain old man who loves his music,” they sang, illustrating their true passion.
Toes tapped and hands clapped as the band smoothly transitioned from one song onto the next.
Each song had a very different and unique meaning, lyrics ranging from “I am walking away from all my mistakes,” to “I’ve been here before and everything’s the same. I’ve been here before and no one knows my name” exhibiting the band’s wide range of experiences.
