The Okanagan Society of Independent Filmmaking is hosting their 5 Day Film Challenge from Friday, May 24th until Wednesday, May 29th. This event challenges participants to put together a film – from writing all the way to editing – in only 5 days!
Participants will be in teams consisting of 3 registered members. Teams can exceed 3 members, however any additional members will be exempt from receiving prizes. At the end of the 5 days, all films are will be shown and prizes will be handed out. There is over $1000 worth of prizes which include cash, equipment rentals and OSIF memberships! The winner of the 5 Day Film Challenge will have their name engraved on the OSIF cup and hold the honor of being the 2013 5 Day Film Challenge winners!
The event will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday May 24th and all finished products must be submitted by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29th. The screening of the films and distribution of prizes will take place shortly after.
There is a $30.00 entry fee for the 5 Day Film Challenge Orientation Meeting which will be held at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna on May 24th at 6:00 pm. To register, check out the OSIF webpage!
