The graduating Graphic Design students went on a field trip this morning to check out a couple local print shops and learn about the different printing methods available. The first stop was at Speedpro Signs where they got to see the process of creating interior and exterior signage, as well as car wraps. They even got a chance to ‘weed’ some awesome decals to take home (a technique used to finish the vinyl decals before placing on sign board.)
The second stop was Kelowna InstaPrint, and the students were able to see an offset press, a digital press, a die cut press and many other components required to get a finished print job complete.
Students also got some valuable tips along the way to help improve their experience working with print shops. Overall it was a great start to their day!
