Calder Moore and The Canadian Mint

News

Back in January 2016, one of our 2013 Grads, Calder Moore, has been working on a secret project.  A Graduate of the “3D Animation” program (now known as “Animation for Game, Film and Visual Effects”), Moore has been working on a design for a new coin for the Canadian Mint:

From the Canadian Mint website:

About the first coin design: The Loon

“Designed by Canadian artist Calder Moore, your coin features a stylized portrait of two common loons in a pristine, natural setting that speaks of the majesty of Canada’s wilderness!”

Recently, we got word that Calder had designed a second coin for The Canadian Mint!  This one is called The Beaver and according to the Canadian Mint website, the coin “features a stylized portrait of two beavers presented in a low “poly art” style.”

Since graduating Moore has been working for DHX Media aka Nerdcorps in Vancouver.  Animation Department Head Sean Ridgway has this to say about Moore:

“Centre for Arts and Technology is very proud to call Calder Moore an alumni of it’s prestigious animation program.  Calder is the shining example of a hardworking and talented individual striving to broaden his CG talents in diverse artistic ways.
